Be Mapped.

Want to try running in a new location and just don’t know where to go, or want to know exactly how far you ran/walked/biked during your last outing? There are several online mapping tools available for free.

Check out http://www.usatf.org/routes, http://www.mapmyrun.com, or http://www.runningmap.com.

These are also great if you are directionally-challenged like myself. I print out the map and take it with me if I am running somewhere new. It’s also great for keeping up with your exercise routine on vacations.

If you have an iPhone, a pretty good app to use is logyourrun.com. It maps out real time where you went, how fast you ran, how far your ran, ect. I have also tried and liked the usatf.org site.
